Damian Michaels - The Bishop print. Image is 3.5" x 5.25" on paper that measures 7.6" x 10.5". Printed from a copper plate on a Vandercook Universal III. Signed on the front and numbered by the artist in pencil. Printed on Rives BFK, a beautiful paper made in France from 100% cotton rag, and housed in a clear mylar envelope. Published in an edition of 100 signed and numbered prints.

Happy New Year!
To kick-off 2010, BoSP is proud to present Echoes from the Tortured Calm, the first book by Australian artist Damian Michaels. His art has been shown in group exhibitions throughout the US, Europe and Australia as well as solo shows in Germany and France. Most of his artwork is in miniature which makes the detail that much more amazing. The book features twenty remarkable images and is available in an extremely limited hand bound hardcover edition of fifty copies, each signed and numbered by the artist. There will be no regular edition of this title. We expect this to sell out quickly.

From David Barker, the form appears: bukowski watercolors by david barker. Selected from a group of original paintings of Charles Bukowski which were bound into a very limited issue of the third edition of Barker's Charles Bukowski Spit in My Face, this is a set of 10 professionally printed full color postcards housed in a light blue envelope. Limited to an edition of 1000 copies.
From Neeli Cherkovski, Poem for a Festival. An excellent poem which was read by Neeli at, and in celebration of, the second biennial San Francisco International Poetry Festival in July 2009. This is a single Poem booklet, limited to 50 paperbond copies and 26 handbound hardcover lettered copies signed by the poet. This little booklet measures about 4” square. SOLD OUT.
And last, but certainly not least, from BoSP newcomer Jordan Hurder comes Hitched. A single poem booklet, limited to 50 copies in wraps as well as 26 lettered copies in hardback which have been signed by the poet. It's here! The much anticipated Bottle No.6 arrives on August 1... 20 letterpress printed broadsides by 20 different poets is available in a numbered edition of 200 copies as well as in a special lettered edition, housed in a handmade custom clamshell box and signed by all living contributors.
Bottle of Smoke, in collaboration with Compulsive Press, is also happy to announce Aggressivebehaviour anthologytwo, designed and printed by Owen Roberts in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Available in two flavors: a regular edition of 75 numbered copies and a lettered edition with small cards tipped in which have been signed by all of the 17 contributing poets.

The original paintings for this project were bound in to a limited release of the third edition of David's Charles Bukowski Spit in My Face and are absolutely stunning. More details soon.
